Watch a Toyota Supra, Chevrolet Corvette Drift Through a Snowy Forest

Because of course Russia.

When the roads turn snowy, drifters come out en masse. However, those who own powerful rear-wheel-drive cars sometimes shy away from winter weather due to tail-happy rear ends that can step out at the touch of a throttle. If you do have the skills of a professional drifter, both rear-wheel drive and snow together create something of a perfect drift playground.  In this spirit, two Russian drifters took to snowbound forest roads in two very powerful and very loud machines.

Like most drift cars, the Chevrolet Corvette and Toyota Supra featured in the video are far from contenders for "Best of Show" at a Concours d'Elegance. They are rough, chopped-up, and raw. More horsepower than good looks. The Supra, which is missing the front fenders and clips, running on exposed open wheels, wouldn't be out of place in a Mad Max film.

After brief sideways stints on their own, the two cars meet up on the icebound roads for an extended tandem drift session, with sumptuous drone footage of the two sliding their way around the forest. Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of exhaust noise. All we get is Kid Rock blasting over the sideways heroics of two masterful pilots.

At the end, we are treated with a cryptic "To Be Continued." Hopefully that means more insane drifts in the near future.

Take a look at the snowy Supra face-off against a Corvette in the video below.
