Watch and Cringe as a Lamborghini Crosses a Flooded Intersection
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude.
Answering the prayers of millions, California has seen quite a bit of rain recently. So much rain, in fact, that the streets of San Diego are flooding, subjecting cars to deep streams of water that should only be tackled by the tallest of lifted trucks. This unfortunate situation apparently caught one extremely unlucky Lamborghini owner off-guard, as a short video caught the driver of a white Lamborghini Gallardo cutting a mighty wake through a flooded intersection.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 in the video was forced to cross a waterlogged intersection in San Diego, where it forded the muddy-brown water next to a GMC SUV. Luck was not on the driver's side, as it appears the Lambo was caught in the deepest area of the wash-out, with the SUV on the immediate left had water only up to the middle of the wheels. The lithe design of the Lambo was no help, either, as the wedge-like shape scooped the water over the front deck of the car.
Thanks probably in part to the mid-engined layout of the car, the 5.2-liter V-10 engine seemed to be completely functional as the Gallardo exited the intersection. While the drivetrain might have thankfully escaped a watery grave, the same might not be said for the front trunk space, as the angular hood was swamped more than once.
