If you’re heading on vacation in your spiffy new Rolls-Royce Wraith, the last thing you want is some dowdy old Samsonite in the trunk. Fortunately, Rolls is here to help, introducing a new luggage set for the Wraith. It’ll only set you back a cool $45,854, before taxes. Or, you know, more than you’ll pay for a Mercedes-Benz C300.
For that price, though, you get the ultimate six-piece hand-made luggage set. The Grand Tourer, for instance, uses lightweight carbon-fiber construction and, just like a real Rolls, has self-righting wheels that always display the company’s double-R logo the right way up. The Garment Carrier can fit a tuxedo or an evening gown, with a special loop to hold a tie or silk scarf. All the luggage has monogrammed Spirit of Ecstasy logos, and is hand-stitched with the same thread used on the buyer’s actual Rolls-Royce car.
For extra attention to detail, Rolls-Royce says its luggage designers met with butlers and other staff at high-end hotels for “insight into the interaction between guests and their belongings.” The handles, for instance, are specifically designed to spread weight, “meaning no undue pressure is placed on the hand.”
The Rolls-Royce Wraith luggage set is on sale now at Rolls dealers worldwide, either as a full set for $45,854 or purchased as individual pieces.
