Purple Mercedes-Benz Actros 2663 “Lowrider” Semi Truck is Not All Show
Tricked out truck is also a workhorse
Here's something you don't see everyday—feast your eyeballs on this customized Mercedes-Benz Actros 2663 "Lowrider" show truck. Kuljetus Auvinen, a Finnish family-run hauling company has been customizing semi trucks for a number of years. The hauler is based in Helsinki, Finland and specializes in silo transportation according to Mercedes-Benz.
Managing director Miks Auvinen and his professional driver Arto Simola have invested over 6,000 hours on the "Lowrider" truck with two matching silo trailers and the results look spectacular.
More than half a million dollars have been invested in the project, which has taken over a year to execute we are told.
Its purple flaked candy paint features epic pin stripping in gold with a ton of lowrider details—it even includes a portrait of American actor Danny Trejo on the driver's side of the cab.
It all rolls on twenty massive white wall tires with fancy chrome rims that you would normally see on a tricked-out vintage Chevrolet.
The semi packs a 15.6-liter inline six-cylinder engine that delivers 625 horsepower. It's mated to a 12-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the cockpit is dominated by purple velvet, gold trim, and smooth diamond stitched white leather. The cargo and freight company was founded in 1953 and has built a number of show trucks that it uses everyday for work.
"If they ain't turnin', it ain't earnin'! These trucks were made for working," says Auvinen Trucking on its Facebook page. No doubt about that.
