Watch Former F1 Driver Mark Webber Flog the Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 Around Estoril

And listen to the hum of the racy Cayman model’s 4.0-liter flat-six!

What do Mark Webber, Porsche, and the Estoril racing circuit have in common? All three are no longer involved in Formula 1. Still, the Australian driver, German automaker, and Portuguese track are legendary in the racing world, and all three come together in this video that sees Webber wheeling a Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 around the 2.6-mile circuit.

This isn't your typical track-driving video, either, as there are no exterior beauty shots. Instead, the two-minute-plus film shows continuous footage from three different camera angles: the windshield header looking forward, the cabin (with a focus on Webber himself), and the driver's side footwell. The result is a video that shows just how Webber commands the mid-engined Porsche about the former Formula 1 track's twisting tarmac, as the viewer sees every heel-toe downshift, tap of the brake pedal, and snap of the gearshift lever.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that the video is accompanied by the sweet soundtrack of the latest 718 Cayman GTS 4.0's flat-six engine. As the 4.0 in its name implies, the Cayman GTS 4.0 trades the prior GTS trim's 365-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four for a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six that pumps out a prodigious 394 horses. Paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, the powertrain pushes the GTS 4.0 to 60 mph in a manufacturer-claimed 4.3 seconds and off to a top speed of 182 mph.

The Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 is due to arrive in the United States this summer with a starting price close to $90,000. Until then, though, you'll just have to settle on watching Webber hammer the Cayman GTS 4.0 around Estoril.
