Almost every car enthusiast wishes their car had more horsepower, but juicing up your ride can mean affecting factory warranty coverage. For owners of the 2013-2015 Ford Focus ST, there's now a solution in the form of a factory performance upgrade kit. Developed with European tuning company Mountune, the new Focus ST package gives the car's 2.0-liter turbo-four an extra 23 hp and 26 lb-ft of torque.

With the Mountune performance pack, the 2013-2015 Ford Focus ST will produce 275 hp and 296 lb-ft on 93-octane gasoline, up from 252 hp and 270 lb-ft in the factory-specification hot hatch. The Mountune package includes a new air-induction kit, a high-flow intercooler, various mounting hardware, and a handheld programmer tool for reflashing the car's engine computer.

If the package is installed at a Ford dealership, it won't even affect the Focus ST's three-year/36,000-mile warranty. The upgrade is also 50-state emissions legal.

While Ford says installation prices will vary from dealer to dealer, the packages themselves are reasonably affordable. The upgrade kit starts at $1,900 for the 2015 Ford Focus ST and $2,149 for the 2013-2014 ST, or $1,359 if ordered without the handheld reprogramming tool.
