If you purchased a new Mercedes-AMG E43 and are wishing that you’d waited until the E63’s L.A. auto show debut, consider getting in touch with Lorinser. The German tuning house worked hard to create a new package for Mercedes’ fresh W213 platform, providing a boost to both performance and visual aggression.
In the absence of the V-8 E63, Lorinser developed the performance pack for the existing E43 and E350d models. The Lorinser-ized E43 puts down a very impressive 434 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, a sizable jump from 396 hp and 384 lb-ft in regular tune. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 in the E350d hops up to 296 hp and 512 lb-ft, a boost from 254 hp and 460 lb-ft. Lorinser is mum on specifically where this power boost comes from but does admit it arrives thanks in part to new ECU tuning.
Visually, each Lorinser W213 E-Class wears upgraded front and rear bumpers with special carbon-fiber trim pieces. Along the side rocker panels, Lorinser installs an aerodynamic channel made of carbon fiber, complemented by a new carbon-fiber decklid lip spoiler. At all four corners, one-piece Lorinser RS11 wheels with meaty tires (255/30R-21 front, 295/25R-21 rear) round out the design.
