Lingenfelter and Callaway Unveil 2015 Corvette Z06 Upgrade Kits

More power for the wildest Corvette.

Good news for unhinged 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 owners who were unhappy with the 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque pushed out of their criminally fast Corvettes. Now, Z06 owners with a hankering for more get-up-and-go are spoiled with two new tuning options from established shops.

It wasn’t long before Lingenfelter engineers started tinkering under the hood of the new Z06. Now, the fruits of their engineering know-how is passed onto the customer, with a new power package available. When ordered, Lingenfelter adds a 15 percent overdrive supercharger pulley, a pulley belt, a 100mm idler pulley kit, a high-flow air filter, a 170-degree performance thermostat, and a handheld programmer with a Lingenfelter-designed tune to the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V-8 engine. Lingenfelter will also throw the Z06 on the dyno for chassis and engine tuning.

The result? A whopping 720 hp and 730 lb-ft of torque, a boost of 70 hp and 80 lb-ft of torque over the base Z06 (pictured). To differentiate it from the unwashed Z06 masses, chrome Lingenfelter badges are added, alongside special stainless steel engine badges. The price for all of this additional power? A reasonable $3,995, which includes installation and a one year, 12,000-mile component warranty.

Want even more power? You’re in luck, as Callaway also just pulled the covers off its own Z06 upgrade kit. With the Callaway package, a 32 percent larger supercharger is installed, for a size comparison of 1.74-liters versus 2.3-liters for the Gen 3 Callaway blower. A new triple intercooling system is incorporated into the supercharger housing, keeping everything cool. The supercharger is so large that it pokes through a cutout in the hood, which also reduces heat buildup.

Power is now boosted to an eye-watering 757 hp and 777 lb-ft of torque, enough to catapult the Callway-tuned Corvette Z06 to 60 mph in a claimed 2.8 seconds, and down the quarter mile in just 10.5 seconds. Also included in the package are a host of visual and cosmetic upgrades, including carbon fiber engine covers, Callaway embroidered floor mats, anodized aluminum door sill plates, Callaway badging, an underhood build plaque with identification numbers, Callaway key fobs, and the Callaway documentation package.

If you want all of the exclusivity that Callaway offers, it won’t come cheap, as the package stickers in at $16,995 over the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe’s base price of $78,995.
