Lamborghini Aventador SV Caught Testing

We’ve heard a more potent version of the Lamborghini Aventador is on the way, and may have our first look at the car today. A yellow Aventador that could be a mule for the 2015 Aventador SuperVeloce was spied testing at the Nurburgring.

For starters, the racier center-lock wheels wrapped in high-performance tires point to a more track-focused car. Looking more closely at the wheel, the front brake calipers also have a different placement than the ones found on the normal Aventador. Up front, the air splitter appears lower to the ground, suggesting an extra aerodynamic piece has been added. The most obvious change, though, is on the Lambo’s rear, as you can see a Gurney flap affixed on top of the rear spoiler for extra downforce.

The SV badge will denote some serious horsepower. Rumors suggest the Aventador SV will pump out between 750 to 770 hp from its 6.5-liter V-12, which puts it on the map with the three-unit Veneno, which produces 740 hp. However, we won’t know for sure until more details are revealed closer to the Aventador SV’s expected debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year.
