Koenigsegg released a teaser poster for the upcoming Koenigsegg Agera RS hypercar, set to make its official debut at the 2015 Geneva auto show.
According to the teaser, the Agera RS is a variant of the “normal” Koenigsegg Agera, pulling technology and advancements from the One:1 which debuted last year at the 2014 Geneva auto show (pictured below). The Agera RS promises to bring in all functionality and features found on the previous Agera R and Agera S models. Expect power to be derived from the same aluminum twin-turbo 5.0-liter V-8 found in the rest of the Agera lineup, and to feature the same stowable, removable hardtop seen on the Agera S.
The teaser shows an outline of the rear end of the Agera RS, featuring a large, rear-swept aerodynamic wing with rear fender louvers. There’s no word yet on performance specifications, but expect power and torque to easily breach the 1000-hp mark, Its 0-60-mph time to be under three seconds, with a top speed eclipsing 260 mph.
The Agera RS is set to debut alongside another new model from Koenigsegg, the Regera. The Regera will be Koenigsegg’s first foray into the hybrid hypercar segment, and a combined power figure in excess of 1,300 hp is possible.
Take a look at the teaser poster above, and look for the official debut of both the Agera RS and the Regera at the 2015 Geneva auto show next week.
