Imported For Beijing: Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300 Concepts Readied for Beijing Motor Show

Chrysler plans to make an appearance at the Beijing Motor Show on April 23 with two new design concepts. Depending on response to the cars at the show, the special-edition Jeep Wrangler and Chrysler 300 could be made available to customers in China in the future.

The Chrysler 300 design concept is said to be specifically tailored to the Chinese market. It appears to come with large black wheels, embossed leather seats, and a dark mesh grille. The Jeep Wrangler, for its part, was themed to celebrate the Year of the Dragon – though we can’t help but call it the Wrangler with the Dragon Tattoo. It has a big dragon decal on the hood, Chinese character badging on the car’s exterior, and special light-colored inset trim for the interior and passenger-side grab handle. We also note unusual projector headlamps and turn signals, both of which appear to be illuminated with LEDs.

Chrysler explains that these vehicles are being shown in China as a preview to the company’s return there. The Dodge and Jeep brands have been sold there for some time, but Chrysler will now work on reestablishing its presence in China.
