This Hyundai Veloster N Concept Is All About the Wing
This SEMA version of Hyundai's hottest hatch gets even more go-fast bits.
The Hyundai Veloster N is heading to the SEMA 2019 show to show off a full lineup of accessories, including cosmetic and performance-enhancing parts. Hyundai hasn't yet said when exactly they'll be available, but the Veloster N Performance concept is one canvas being used to show the possibilities.
The actual performance-enhancing bits on the Veloster N Performance include an Extreme Racing coil-over suspension with H&R springs, Daewon steel front and rear anti-roll bars, a WIF chassis brace and aluminum caliper bracket, six-piston front and four-piston rear Alcon brake calipers, 19-inch OZ forged racing wheels, and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
In addition to its orange accents and the brake calipers, the Veloster N Performance concept gets a KWA hood, special grille and fog-light accents, a front splitter, a taller rear spoiler, side sills with orange accents, orange mirror caps, and anodized Capristo cat-back exhaust outlets. Inside, the cabin features Sabelt Alcantara and carbon front sport seats with an orange stripe, an aluminum shifter, colored seatbelts, a red engine-ignition button, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with an orange center marker, and additional orange interior trim.
In stock form, the Hyundai Veloster N comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-four making 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. The factory Performance package—as fitted to our long-term Veloster N—ups output to 275 horses and adds extras like a dual-mode exhaust, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and 19-inch wheels. In addition to the Veloster N Performance concept, Hyundai is also showing the wicked-cool Veloster "Grappler" off-roader at the 2019 SEMA show.
