Ford Offering Sneak Preview Drives for the 2011 F-150 EcoBoost
The Built Ford Tough Roundup drive program is heading to seven cities around the United States and provides the public, fleet customers, and dealer sales staff with driving opportunities for the F-150's latest forced-induction powertrain. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 is an F-150 reality and Ford wants drivers to realize it's a serious contender through acceleration and towing comparisons before it goes on sale late this year. The three other engines in the 2011 lineup -- the 3.7-liter V-6, 5.0-liter V-8, and 6.2-liter V-8 -- will also be available for sampling.
"Customers tell us they're really impressed with the specs of the new engines -- including best-in-class horsepower, torque, trailer tow and fuel economy -- but they want to get behind the wheel and compare it with the competition," said Mark Grueber, F-150 marketing manager. "It's a great opportunity for people to experience how the new F-150 compares to the competition in back-to-back drives and do things they would not be able to do easily in a dealership test drive."
Potential participants may reserve a driving space at the event's official Web site.
