Feature Flick: Driving to Alaska in a 1968 Ford Ranchero on Roadkill

Hot Rod's David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan are at it again on the latest episode of Roadkill: the two bring back the 1968 Ford Ranchero and attempt to get to Big Lake, Alaska. It's been more than a year since they first attempted the trip, but the results on the latest Roadkill video are no less entertaining.

Despite the car's refreshed 363 cubic inch small-block Ford stroker engine, the trip is not without setbacks. The distributor and carburetor need several adjustments along the way and the oil is topped off at each fuel stop. Shortly before reaching the U.S.-Canadian border, they plug an air compressor into the cigarette lighter and route the hose to the rear air shocks to keep them full without stopping. At the Canadian border, the duo and the suspicious looking Raunchero are detained and searched before being allowed across. Just inside Canada, they have issues with the engine starter.

While the duo experienced several setbacks during the drive, they remained upbeat. Does the 1968 Ford Ranchero take Freiburger and Finnegan all the way to Big Lake, Alaska on their second attempt? Check out the video below to find out and don't forget to revisit their first attempt with the original Roadkill video below.
