Concours d'Lemons 2019 in Monterey (there are now several such events across the country) once again delivered the goods, gathering some of the funkiest stuff the automotive world has ever horked up—or at least scraped off its shoes. Held for almost a decade as the annual antidote to the excess of the Pebble Beach concours the next day, this year's show in Seaside, California, featured the crustiest VW we'd ever seen—it used an oil bottle for a fuel tank—a sweet custom Dodge Street Van named Vandalf, a few Lemons racers, and a dorky and very haphazardly constructed Chinese scooter-bubble that looked every bit as deadly as it did bizarre.

We spent the morning taking in all the crapcans parked in the shadow of Seaside's city hall, snapping tons of photos along the way. Click into the gallery to see the best, the worst, and the just plain weird of Monterey Car Week 2019's most chill car show.
