Buy a 2017 Nissan GT-R, Get a Complimentary Track Day at Virginia International Raceway
That is, as long as you followed the car’s break-in procedure
You just picked up the keys to your brand new 2017 Nissan GT-R. You weren't thinking of trying to reach the limits of that car on the road, were you? Of course you weren't. If you were, make sure to give Nissan a call before you do. For 2017 GT-R buyers, the Japanese automaker now offers a complementary trackday at the vaunted Virginia International Raceway, enabling owners to utilize their new supercar to its full potential.
According to Nissan, once owners take delivery of the car, they will be given instructions on how to claim this VIR experience. Once they make it to the race track, they will participate in a day of instruction and hot laps behind the wheel of their personal GT-R.
Unlike the launch control debacle from a few years back, attending this event will not void your factory warranty, provided that you followed the 1,200 mile break-in period to the "T." Nissan is taking care of the trackday, but you're still on the hook for any travel expenses, including food, lodging, and getting the car to Virginia.
For those recent buyers who just missed the boat, Nissan retroactively qualifies buyers who purchased their cars 90 days from November 14, 2016.
