BMW M3, 3-Series Star in Mission: Impossible Movie Trailer

Tom Cruise abuses BMWs in new movie.

"Mission: Impossible" protagonist Ethan Hunt embarks on another wild escapade in the upcoming "M:I - Rogue Nation" film. And as this trailer shows, he'll have a little help from some high-performance machines from BMW.

For on-screen hero cars, BMW has provided the M:I team with a host of vehicles including a 2016 BMW 3-Series, a Motorrad S 1000 RR superbike, and a new BMW M3 sedan that serves as the hero car in the film. In the short teaser highlighting BMW's participation, the new "Mission: Impossible" installment appears to have lost none of the frenetic action that made the previous films so popular.

This is not the first partnership BMW has formed with the Mission: Impossible team, with the 2011 "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" protagonists chasing down the lead villains through a sandstorm in the new BMW i8 hybrid sports car.

While the 2016 3-Series appears to cruise at normal speeds on surface streets in the trailer, the film's M3 is an action hero, with smoky drifts, high-speed chases, and a fantastic alley scene where star Tom Cruise deploys a handbrake turn to knock pursuing bad guys off their motorcycles.

"Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" hits theaters nationwide on July 31. In the meantime, you can catch your fix of on-screen BMW action in the teaser video below.
