2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S Gets Edition 1 Model
Here comes an even better one
Got flair? The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S turns up the flair for buyers in search of the one—Edition 1 that is. It'll make its world debut at the ADAC Zurich 24 Hour Race at the Nürburgring this weekend.
The Edition 1 is available exclusively for the top shelf Mercedes-AMG 4-Door Coupe and receives exclusive bits inside and out.
Under the matt gray stripped hood, the AMG packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine with 630 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The V-8 is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
It can scoot from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 3.1 seconds and has a wicked top speed of 195 mph.
Edition 1 sports the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which includes a larger front splitter and integrated bits in the front bumper, an optimized diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler that can be adjusted remotely. It rolls on 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels in designo Graphite Gray Magno with black accents.
Inside offers an AMG Performance steering wheel, seats in Magma Gray/ Black in Nappa leather with yellow contrasting topstitching, yellow seat belts, and AMG Matte Carbon-Fiber trim. It even gets its own exclusive AMG #63 cabin scent—which can help hide the funk in the trunk.
Pricing hasn't been announced but we imagine it''ll start well over $110,000 in the U.S. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S goes on sale early next year.
