2016 Tesla Model X Priced from $81,200 to $116,700

Prices and options announced for all-electric crossover.

Tesla has revealed the full pricing range for its Model X, and the all-electric crossover will start at $81,200 in its base 70D trim (including destination but before any tax incentives), while the 90D will start at $96,700 and the P90D will cost $116,700.

The standard 2016 Tesla Model X 70D has a two-motor all-wheel-drive arrangement and a 70-kWh battery pack. Tesla says the crossover will reach 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, manage a top speed of 140 mph, and travel up to 220 miles per charge. Buyers can move up to the 90D model to get 357 miles of range, a 4.8-second run to 60 mph, and a 155 mph top speed, or to the P90D model which boasts 250 miles of range and a 0-to-60-mph sprint of just 3.2 seconds in Ludicrous mode.

Standard equipment includes keyless entry, touchscreen navigation, LED headlights, and the Model X's unique "panoramic" windshield and Falcon Wing doors. It comes standard with a five-passenger configuration; switching to a six-passenger layout with captain's chairs in the middle row costs $3,000, while going for a seven-seat configuration is $4,000.

Other options include Tesla's Autopilot semi-autonomous feature, for $2,500; the $4,500 Premium Upgrades package that includes features like LED fog lights, extra leather and Alcantara trim, and a HEPA air filtration system; air suspension for $2,500 (it's standard on the 90D and P90D); a $2,500 17-speaker premium sound system; a $1,000 Subzero Weather package that includes heated seats, a heated steering wheel, heated washer nozzles, and a windshield wiper defroster; and a $750 towing package that lets the Model X haul up to 5,000 pounds when equipped with 20-inch wheels or 3,500 pounds with its optional 22-inch wheels.

Deliveries of the 2016 Tesla Model X P90D begin in early 2016, with the 90D and 70D trims available in mid to late 2016.
