2016 Chevrolet Colorado Adds Midnight Edition, Trail Boss Packages
Prices to be announced.
Chevrolet released information on a new 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Midnight Edition. The new appearance package darkens the overall appearance of the popular midsize pickup truck.
Checking the box for the Midnight Edition package coats the Colorado in black paint, along with a black spray-in bedliner and tonneau bed cover. Exterior details, including the bowtie badges, front grille, and 18-inch wheels are finished in black as well.
The new package is available on LT models with both extended and crew cabs, with two- or four-wheel drive, with any engine under the hood, including the new 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel four-cylinder. Pricing for the new package has yet to be announced.
2016 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss
For 2016, the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss package continues over from 2015. The Trail Boss package increases the off-road capability of the already-rugged Colorado Z71, which comes standard with a host of chassis shielding and heavy-duty suspension upgrades. The Trail Boss package adds Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 265/65R17 tires, tubular assist steps, black Chevrolet bowtie badge, spray-in bedliner, and all-weather floormats. Dark plastic fender flares give the Trail Boss an aggressive appearance, along with a new bed-mounted sport bar with LED trail lighting.
The Trail Boss is available on Colorado Z71 models with both the extended and crew cabs, with two- and four-wheel drive. The package is available with all engines, including the new Duramax diesel. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the previous Trail Boss package stickered in right around $3,300, so expect the new light bar to add additional price.
