2015 GMC Canyon Adds Nightfall Edition Appearance Package
Midsize truck adds darkened grille and other visual upgrades.
GMC has unveiled the first special edition package available for the new midsize 2015 Canyon pickup truck. Called the 2015 GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition, this appearance package comes with many specialized bits which darken the overall appearance of the truck.
Clad in Onyx Black paint, the 2015 GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition comes with a bespoke black grille, black assist steps, a spray-in bedliner, 18-inch aluminum wheels with 'Dark Argent' painted inserts, and a polished exhaust tip. On top of the appearance modifications, the Nightfall Edition also features standard automatic climate control and remote start capabilities.
The Nightfall Edition is available on SLE crew cab 2015 GMC Canyon models with either two- or four-wheel drive, and buyers can choose between the standard 2.5 liter inline-four, which produces 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque, or the 3.6 liter V-6, which pumps out 305 hp and 269 lb-ft. The 2015 GMC Canyon SLE already comes with a host of equipment, including a backup camera, an eight-inch touchscreen GMC IntelliLink infotainment system, OnStar with the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic locking differentials available on the four-wheel drive models. For those wishing to add more to their new truck, GMC offers over 40 different accessories, which include everything from storage and cargo management, to interior additions and emergency kits. According to GMC, over 40 percent of early Canyon buyers have added some of those GearOn accessories to their order.
There is no word yet on pricing, but expect it to be above the base price of a 2015 GMC Canyon SLE crew cab, which starts at $29,460 with destination. The Nightfall Edition and can be ordered from the second quarter of 2015.
