2015 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Adds Midnight Edition Package
Production limited to 5,000 models.
Another day, another special-edition pickup truck from General Motors. This time, GM is introducing a new Midnight Edition package for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Z71. Similar to the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, the Midnight Edition Silverado gives the truck a monochromatic overall appearance. However, in this special edition, the exterior paint color is restricted to solid black -- as the Midnight name might suggest.
Prices for the Midnight Edition package range from $1,595 to $1,995, depending on what Silverado model it's based on. Orders are limited to 5,000 2015 1500 Chevrolet Silverado double-cab or crew cabs equipped with the optional Z71 off-road package. The Midnight Edition package blacks out the truck's entire front end, with a black grille, black headlamp trim, black tow hooks, black fog lamps, and black bumpers. The side and beltline moldings are also colored black along, as is special Z71 door badging. Along with standard 18-inch black wheels shod in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires, the package also adds black spray-in bedliner. Most important, however, the package adds the necessary black front and rear Chevrolet bowtie badges.
Because this is based on a Z71-equipped 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, the truck comes with a host of off-road ready equipment, including an off-road suspension, a locking rear differential, hill-decent control, and a trailering package. Checking the box for the Midnight Edition nets the buyer rear park assist, and heated, power adjusted outside rear-view mirrors. Dealers can order the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight Edition starting in February.
