2015 Cadillac ATS Sedan Gains New Badge, Tech Features
Cadillac's new wreath-less badge that debuted on the ATS Coupe will be propagating to the rest of the brand's lineup this year, and the 2015 Cadillac ATS sedan is the next recipient of this update. The car also receives a few other minor changes for 2015.
To accompany the new badge, the 2015 ATS receives slightly revised front end styling to better match the new ATS coupe's sheetmetal—that means a new grille and wider front fenders—and two new exterior colors including Crystal White Tricoat and Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic. Some interior color and trim combinations are different, too.
Under the hood, the mid-level 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine has 14 percent more torque this year, making for a total of 295 lb-ft, a figure that matches that of the ATS coupe's 2.0T. The 2015 Cadillac ATS sedan's other two powertrains, comprising the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder and the 3.6-liter V-6, are unchanged for this year. 2.0T and V-6 models are still available with all-wheel drive as an option.
GM is making a big push for 4G LTE connectivity, and the 2015 Cadillac ATS receives this capability, along with other tech features like a Powermat wireless phone charging dock and text message alert capability that are included with the ATS' CUE infotainment system. Other new features for 2015 include passive entry as standard on all models, a power tilt and telescoping steering column in Premium Collection models, a lane change alert system that's added to the Driver Assist Package, and a lane keep assist system that's added to the Driver Awareness Package.
Cadillac has not yet released pricing for the revised 2015 Cadillac ATS sedan, but expect more info to come out as the car goes on sale at the end of the summer along with the ATS Coupe.
