2011 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 priced at $103,125

It takes a lot of green to go green -- at least if you want to do so and still be coddled in luxury. BMW's first hybrid sedan, the 2011 ActiveHybrid 7, will sell in North America with a sticker price of $103,125, including destination charges.

Along with the standard 7-series sedan, the hybrid variant will be offered in both regular and long wheelbase models. If the extended version is chosen, the price will climb to $107,025.

Standard equipment found on ActiveHybrid 7 models are 19-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, and a rear-view camera. Several of BMW's popular options can be had on the hybrid 7, including night vision ($2600), power rear sun shades ($1000), a cold weather package ($800), rear-seat entertainment ($2200), 20-inch wheels ($1300), and on long wheelbase cars only, massaging rear seats ($3700).

The EPA has yet to officially rate the ActiveHybrid 7, but the car manages to return 21 mpg combined on the European test cycle. Cars will arrive at U.S. dealers in the spring of 2011.
