And the forums all said that PPE had it covered. So I purchased a PPE Econ. And uploaded it in the truck and unplugged the sensor that told the truck to go into regen. So I called PPE and they told me that they would gladly put the DPF removal program on my Econ. For the small price of $400.00 to up grade it to HOT and or HOT-race and that there is no other way they will put the DPF delete on there programmer. And as most of you know the stock Alison trans can only handle 400hp with out tearing it up “this is why I bought the Econ. and why I don’t want the hot.” I spoke with the GENERAL MANAGER at PPE and I told him that QUADZILLA had a programmer for $400.00 and they will update it for free to the DPF delete. PPE didn’t care and simply told me that if I wanted there product with the DPF delete function that I would have to give them another $400.00 on top of the $450.00 which brings the total price for the PPE DPF delete function to $850.00 “with out tax and shipping” when QUADZILLA is only $400.00 and will gladly update your programmer with the DPF delete. LONG STORY SHORT!!!-----DON’T BUY PPE IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE THE “”””DPF DELETE FUNCITON”””””” BUY QUADZILLA ITS CHEEPER AND THEY ARE MUCH NICER TO DO BUESSNESS WITH. And I did call Quadzilla and spoke with the sales manager he said that his programmer comes with the cable to update it by yourself at your home and to make it even easier there product is all plug N play. DON’T BUY PPE.

Or they can head to a Toyota dealer and ask about the Yaris. The $11,350 subcompact is the most fuel efficient in its class, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. It gets 29 mpg in the city and 36 on the highway. Drivers paying $3.51 a gallon can expect to pony up $1,648 a year if driving 15,000 miles. Other wallet-friendly vehicles include the Honda's Civic Hybrid ($1,253 a year), the MINI Cooper ($1,751 a year) and the smart fortwo convertible ($1,555 a year). Small cars like these have scored big among buyers looking for a way to control rising gas prices; over the last year, the average cost of a gallon has risen more than 60 cents. Thursday, automakers reported higher sales of small cars. Sales of the Ford Focus, for example, increased 32% last month and made up a third of Ford's passenger car sales. Overall vehicle sales, however, have plunged. Chrysler reported a 29% drop, General Motors 23% and Ford 19%. Toyota's sales fell 4.5%, and Honda's and Nissan's both dropped 2%. But small cars aren't the only options available to cost-conscious drivers...

A new process of fuel injection called 'open valve technology' will give the 5.4L V8 a bump in horsepower from 300 to 320 and increase torque from 365 pound-feet to 390. The technology does exactly what it says: injects fuel into the cylinders while the intakes valves are open (normally they're closed). In addition to the updated 5.4L V8, we also expect some Eco-boost powerplants to drop in the F-150 soon, though whether or not they debut with the new 2009 model isn't known.

My first impressions is that it was overstyled and turned out ugly, and some howe manages to look like a girls car. But my friend loves it, and he didnt even test drive any other car, so it obviously appeals to some people. As I sat in the drivers seat I was amazed at the terrible panel gaps. Where the door meets the dash I was actually able to fit my finger tip in there! in addition, the entire dash feels like some sort of rubbery plastic. Not to mention the dash layout it ugly and not fluid at all. In my short easy drive down the street I was impressed that the car felt faster than I thoght it would, though the "sporttronic" (what a joke) transmission is just for show. the shifts took about 1 second to shift after I hit the shift lever. There are 2 aspects of the car I like. The seats are very nice, with large side bolsters, though i only had 10 minutes fo seat time, they were never nice. The other is the wheels. the 18"s reeally give the car better proportions. I sure hope the 09 Eclipse has a completely new interior, because I can not think of one single aspect other than the seats that was pleasant. All the plastic trim pieces were made of of plastic that was juwst too thin. I could fell the center tunnel trim flex under my finger and the door handles feel as if they will break off in my hand. not to mention the cheap sound of the door slamming shut (probably due to the fact that there is no window frame). All in all I wouldn't call the I-4 Eclipse a terrible car, and if in fact the car only cost $16k, I wouldnt be so harsh on it, although at that price, I would still recommend a tC over it, but for $25K (what my friend paid) the car is not even in the same league as the G6 coupe, let alone an Accord or Altima coupe.
