NIce review. I test drove this car last week. and loved it!I don't know why everyone is saying it is $10k more than a GTI. I understand they are comparing base to base models. In my mind the comparison should be to the GTI Autobahn edition which, in that case, is a $5k difference. Just my $.02 :)

I am a MI snow belt person and am leasing an Impreza for our "beater" car and own a 2004 Audi allroad V8 for our "good" car. Sixth Quattro, fifth Subie. It's nice to see these press people make kind comments about All Wheel Drive. One serious winter will make believers of doubters! I intend to ONLY buy AWD forever. I drove my allroad on a wet, oily and slippery track at Grattan Race Track in 2006. Quattro and ESP are simply amazing---no slip no slide. Pure power and control.
