Not that it is vital, but there are two cup holders in the front of the center console, one above the other.  The front passenger also has one in the dash and all four doors have bottle holders. The other two cup holders in the center console face the rear seats.
You never have to hit P before Power to stop the car, Power puts it in P. The longer you own a Prius, the more you realize that while Toyota is legally required to have a P, N, and B, (would be L on any other transmission, but someone at Toyota was too honest to imply it has lower gearing) you almost never need them.
I am not sure what Prius John Weythek was in*, but the HVAC and radio are not controlled via the touch screen on my v Three. (the radio can tell you what song and station is playing via the touch screen) You can see that in the pictures above.  Since no Prius ever shifts, it is a single speed transmission emulating a CVT, I am unable to guess what he was feeling. (R is just running an electric motor backwards, the car NEVER shifts)

* Prior to 2011, Toyota used Roman Numerals for trim levels in the Prius Liftback.  so a Prius V is a totally different car than a Prius v.  I bet the Parts Counter staff is ready to kill someone.  It is more Toyota's US Marketing department's fault than John's that he thinks he was in this car. (In Japan this car is the Prius Alpha, and in Europe the Prius+, so the US folks HAD other choices)

i rode in my first prius. i will admit to disliking hybrids but i wanted to ignore the batteries and judge it as a car alone, a little ride around town.the prius is an atrocious disaster of a car. i tested this from the back seat and noticed ALL the controls (a/c, radio, anything you'd expect on a dash) were all on a touch screen. a touch screen that screams at you to agree to ignoring it before you set off. if someone has ever hit you in a prius, this is why, not because of a sticky throttle or bc they're too quiet.the prius isn't quiet, it has a rumbly unsatisfying something or other attached to its r/c car parts. The shifts (because of engine shutoff or shuffling two power sources to the drivetrain, who knows) are rougher than broken auto transmission cerca honda accord coupes early 2000's and certainly rougher than i can manage in a stick.i could hear the road like the blind read brail through the rear air vents, designed to give you an ear infection by force induction. just get a carolla.
