I agree with your assessment of this poorly executed and designed car which is another example of how Honda has completely lost its way (The so-called "new Civic is another Honda misstep). This car should not have been made a hybrid only. The Veloster is a better buy and a superior car to the CR-Z and it is outselling the Cr-z by a wide margin. This car has only two redeeming qualities--it has HID lights and a 6 speed manual. Hyundai continues to show Honda what it should have done and be doing and unlike Honda for those of us who would like some respectable hp the Veloster will have a turbo version (it also has a dual clutch automatic whereas Honda gives you a lousy CVT).

Let me say what nobody will, THIS CARS ENGINE SUCKS!This is Hondas #1 mistakeand their paying the price.(their own fault)yes people I owned 3 crx's and the cr-z is nothing like them except the looks!underwhelming driving experience, it was to slooooow, not good mpg, handeling could be way better for a small car, still feel this car needs a gas only option before i'll buy it!ok mpg are good if you drive like a snail! (i dont)
