I leased this car for my wife recently and we are very happy with the car.  At this price ($38k) there is not another comparable convertible on the market today.  It is attractive looking, has four usable seats, a good size trunk, handles great and is fast and fun.  It also has that teutonic solidity, even in convertible form.  The only thing that drives us crazy is the "idrive" system.  Updated or not, this interface is so counter-intuitive that I won't consider a BMW as our main car, no matter how great it drives.  I owned a 2003 Lincoln Aviator and it had a touch screen.  It was extremely user friendly and reduced all the button clutter that automakers are trying to achieve.  Why can't the Germans see that the solution already exists in touch screens?  I sincerely hope that they wake up and realize that this 10 year old technology is the solution right now.  Otherwise, the 128i convertible is alot of fun and a good value for the money.
