trackwrex 5pts 1 Like I've been following Polestar since they've been involved with a lot of the European Touring Car series. I remember seeing their C30 and S60's and just marvelling at how well they performed since Volvo's more known for their safety. I loved the "R" cars of old but with Polestar, they have a winning team.
Tom R. 5pts 1 Like As a former 850 Turbo owner, a former S60R owner, and a current V70R owner, I can say that this is RIGHT up my alley! The return of Standard transmissions to Volvo's US offerings would be a VERY welcome thing. In fact, I bought a pre-owned V70R to replace my S60R because the V70, S60, and S80 are all available only with automatics in the US. I love the new T6 S60, but the lack of a Standard transmission option kept me from buying it. Mr Random 5pts @Tom R. @Tom R. Is your V70R Silver? Could have been mine. Great car at >75MPH, abysmal at stop and go. Ran it around Beaver Run on track day. The auto didn't shift until 3S after the rev limiter cut in. The transmission microprocessor was arguing with the ECU. My first and last automatic. After owning only Volvos from 1969 until 1987, haven’t looked at a Volvo since. If you ever meet the Volvo N. American Marketing manager kick him in the nuts for me.
