VW why can't you nderstand the value of poor service and poor build quality. May be a Great car, Fun to drive, well priced, but if its at the Dealer or sitting in the driveway waiting for parts, who can afford to own one at any price.
Eh, it's nice, but the real GLI died in the last-generation car.
VW has lost its edge literally. The lines of most of the vehicles have softened and the quality and performance has been watered down. The bottom line is the bottom line $$ at VW. This of course is at the expense of crafting enthusiast cars within its line up. I give the CC props for being Mercedes like and the GTI/ R32 for having some of it earlier roots but the balance of the line up milk-toast.
Didn't your copy editor review this? There's an extraneous comma in the last sentence of paragraph 1 and a typo in the last sentence of paragraph 2, and that's for starters.
The 2.0 is a nice motor. That's where the joy stops. I've had 2 window regulators replaced, rear deck has tennis ball jammed under it just to keep the rattling to a minimum. AC fan motor replaced. I could go on. VW has lost a little luster for me. 15 years of VW ownership and it's time to say good bye! Please refocus on the quality of your cars!!!!!!! Other than that the GLI is fine.
