Maybe its me, but the first photo in this article had me thinking VW? 27mpg? I can get that in a bigger Kia/Hyundai Optima/Sonata with a 274hp turbo! I think I'll take a pass, especially since the interior doesn't do much for me. As far as reliability, most cars are..if you keep up the maintenance.

I have a 2007 Civic Si and the interior pieces are not quite as soft and refined looking as the 2001 VW VR6 I had previously. However, the VW was a black hole of expense the Honda has been a paragon of reliability. Give me reliability everytime. Who gives a rats @$$ if it looks good but the experience is ruined by poor reliability!!!! Anyway, I don't think the Honda interior looks bad at all.
