Months in fleet: One
Miles to date: 3648
It's only been one month since our Audi Q5 was delivered and already the miles are adding up on the odometer and the comments from staffers are pouring into the logbook.
Copy editor Rusty Blackwell says, "the Q5 is a very nice execution, not to mention a great addition to our Four Seasons fleet. And in today's downsizing-happy world, the Q5 makes more sense than the larger Q7. I think it looks very sharp (much better than its big brother, too), particularly in white like our 4S car. The Q5 is enjoyable to drive quickly yet remains incredibly comfortable to drive at posted speeds and in traffic".
Aside from looking good, the Q5 is a blast to drive. More than 3600 miles in one month is proof that we can't get enough time behind the wheel of our new arrival.
"Over a weekend of driving, I found the time behind the wheel to be pretty good," says associate editor Eric Tingwall. "Ride and handling are exactly what I expect from Audi - a bit sportier than the Lexus, but not too harsh. Engine response and throttle calibration are good, and the transmission shifts well."
Armed with Michelin Latitude Alpin winter tires, Quattro all-wheel-drive, and heated seats, the Q5 would appear to be fully prepared for winter. Check back to see how our Q5 fares during the cold, long and dark season. ...next page >>
