In its few months in our fleet, the Infiniti EX35 has started to reveal its true identity. What looks like a smallish FX crossover is actually much more similar to the G37 sedan. Fine with us. We like Infiniti's mid-size performance car, and so far at least, the EX seems even better. Trunk space is very limited with the seats up, but those who have traveled alone or with one companion have found plenty of room for luggage. In other words, this might be the perfect vehicle for a young couple or empty nesters.

This is my favorite G35 ever. I really appreciate the automatic in the EX35; it's remarkable how much more refined the engine feels when dampened by a torque converter. The driving dynamics are pretty incredible for a crossover, until you realize this Infiniti is no larger than a Honda Fit.
Seriously, this was parked next to our Four Seasons Fit in the parking garage yesterday and I couldn't believe the two were the same height. And the funny thing is the Fit is actually more useful as a crossover for storing bulky items.

I think this car is great looking; love the swept-back stance and the organic, muscular curves. Even more so than the FX, this crossover has absolutely zero pretense of off-road ability, or cargo utility. It's just a slightly higher sports sedan, with all-wheel drive.
The additional height is just enough to make for perfect ingress and egress-no dropping down into the seat, no climbing up into the cabin. And yet it's not so high that the chassis engineers must resort to ultra-stiff roll bars to provide responsive cornering-as a result, there's none of the side-to-side rocking motions and head toss you get in so many sporty crossovers.
My one immediate disappointment, however, was the steering, which is too light and has no effort build-up at all; it's wholly out of sync with this Infiniti's sporty character.
