2010 nissan rogue Reviews and News

2010 Nissan Rogue
2010 Nissan Rogue
The Rogue, which is Nissans long overdue entry into the compact crossover category, is based on the C platform. This is the same chassis as the Sentra sedan. Its agility and over the top styling have helped it wedge into a market where such perennial leaders as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 dwell. The rogue is both longer their either of these two alternative and yet shorter vertically and narrower than both of them.

The first thing to be noticed about the rogue is its styling. This was contrived in California by Nissan Design America and is meant to be evocative a contemporary sporty look. The Rogue has it where it counts too, with four wheel independent suspension and big vented disc brakes all around. With available all wheel drive and 17" wheels it keeps it power train up the date as well.

The sole engine offering on the Rogue comes in the form of a 2.5 liter four cylinder which develops 170 HP. Interestingly, the sole transmission offered by Nissan for the Rogue is a CVT. Having another option may have helped as many people do not like the sluggishness that a CVT imparts.

Color me impressed. Nissan's Rogue is going on four years without any major revisions (a mild face-lift is due in 2011), but there's still a lot to like, especially if you're in the market for a comfortable little sport-utility.

Better Place has long touted its idea of offering viable battery swapping stations, but until now, it hasn't actually demonstrated the system in the real world. The battery developer just opened its first swap station in Tokyo, where it will service three of Tokyo's electric taxis.
Nissan has announced today that it will add to its Krom lineup with the 2010 Rogue Krom edition. The Rogue is the second vehicle to wear the Krom badge since the Cube Krom was released earlier this year.
Pricing information has just been released for the 2010 Rogue, and the increase is almost unnoticeable. Nissan has upped the asking price by a mere $120, with the Rogue S starting at $21,140 including an $800 destination fee. The AWD S has held at a $1,200 premium over the front-drive model.
