Transformers’ Bumblebee Camaro and Optimus Prime Spied Near Movie Studios

California may have earthquakes, high unemployment, suffocating taxes and onerous environmental and business regulations, but the state enjoys some of the best weather in the country, and is the center of the country’s, if not the world’s entertainment industry. Those that work in “the biz” see it as just a job, and some things that leave the rest of us star-shocked are simply cargo and deliverables for the working-class Joes and Janes tasked with delivering them. Sharp-eyed reader Luis Galdames happened to be in the vicinity of the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, and found Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, two of the biggest car stars of the “Transformers” movie series chilling out on the back of a big rig outside the studio gates.

Those that follow the series closely may note that these are not the same vehicles that will be in the upcoming “Transformers 4” movie, which will feature a more modern Optimus Prime based on a modern Western Star truck, as opposed to the more classic look of the Peterbilt 379, on which this version of Optimus prime is based. The “new” Bumblebee in “Transformers 4” will be based on a classic 1967 Camaro, as opposed to the 2010 model featured in the “Transformers – Dark of the Moon” installment.

After Luis started snapping off photos with his cell phone, the truck driver reportedly received an irate phone call instructing him to move the truck and vehicles, because they were starting to cause a commotion outside the studio gates.

Special thanks to Luis Galdames!
