Toyota Dresses Up Prius For Hybrid’s 10th Anniversary

Birthday parties vary around the world. In America, the 10th anniversary of the Toyota Prius prompted the automaker to look for the car’s most passionate fan. In England, however, Toyota saw fit to issue an interesting special edition model to commemorate the occasion.

This special edition hybrid is limited to just 1000 units and is based on the U.K. market’s range-topping T Spirit model. Features specific to the 10th anniversary edition include a body kit, tinted rear windows, black leather seating with an embossed anniversary logo, and dark 17-inch alloy wheels. Other amenities at this level are HDD satellite navigation, Intelligent Park Assist, rearview parking monitor, and rain-sensing wipers. You can choose any exterior color you want, so long as it’s either Astral Black or White Pearl.

This Prius’ on-the-road price is 26,150 GBP, or around $41,400, according to current currency exchange rates. For comparison’s sake, the Prius T Spirit carries an OTR price of 23,400 GBP ($37,100). These figures include a 20-percent value-added-tax and the first 10th anniversary deliveries will be completed later during the winter season.
