Overfinch has been in the business of tuning Land Rovers since 1975, but this duo of updated Range Rovers may be the company’s brightest yet. By brightest, we mean in color as the Range Rover Sport GTS-X and Range Rover Evoque 2012 GTS are painted in eye-searing hues.
The Range Rover Sport GTS-X sees a raft of aesthetic and performance upgrades. Overfinch has tweaked the 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 to produce 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard car’s 370 hp and 461 lb-ft. Top speed has been increased by five mph to 145 and the exhaust has been modified to include a driver-controllable valve to increase the auditory bliss of the eight-cylinder.
Outside, the Range Rover badges have been swapped for Overfinch ones and it is decked out in color-matched side skirts. New front and rear bumpers with LED running lights and modified chrome exhaust tips all painted in a loud shade of tangerine set the GTS-X apart from other Range Rover Sports. Upgraded Brembo brakes clamp 15-inch drilled and vented discs and hide behind 22-inch forged alloy wheels. The cabin has been swathed in full nappa “carbon” leather accented by orange stitching and the gauge cluster now uses orange numerals on black faces.
Standing out in “ultra-violet” paint, the Range Rover Evoque 2012 GTS is enhanced with an extended body kit and 22-inch, diamond-turned wheels. Inside, the purple Evoque is dressed in a Lotus White leather interior, complete with a raft of bespoke Overfinch options.
Both Overfinch Range Rovers will make their official debuts at the Salon Prive in London this September. The tuner has also affixed price tags to both SUVs: £147,500 (about $231,000) for the Range Rover Sport GTS-X and £89,995 (about $144,000) for the Range Rover Evoque GTS. Check out the video below for a tease of the GTS-X’s ferocious exhaust note.
