Techart Reveals Upgrade Kits for Porsche 911 Turbo

Porsche’s 911 Turbo may already be one of the fastest cars built by the German automaker, but for tuning firm Techart, fast is never good enough. The company just rolled out a pair of power upgrade packages for the latest 911 Turbo.

Techart’s TA 097/T1 kit starts with the stock twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six, and simply adds a new air intake and a remapped engine controller. According to the company, these modifications bump output from 500 to 570 horsepower, while torque rises from 480 to 539 pound-feet. Techart claims the car can now sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds (a stock Turbo takes 3.5 seconds to do the same), while ultimately reaching a top speed of 201 mph.

If that’s not quite fast enough for your tastes, Techart‘s TA 097/T2 kit may be more to your liking. The tuner adds a new intake manifold and exhaust system, along with the upgrades found in the TA 097/T1 package. The flat-six can then crank out 620 horsepower and 569 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to jump from 0-62 mph in a scant 2.9 seconds, ultimately ripping its way to 124 mph in 6.4 seconds. Techart says the top speed is now a whopping 207 mph.

Neither package includes exterior dress-up pieces or suspension improvements, but Techart already has an expansive range of such upgrades. Much as we like a sleeper, we wouldn’t be surprised if customers opting for either kit decide to spring for a few extra accoutrements from Techart’s catalog.
