Sixth Annual Mopar LX Roundup Attracts Dodge Charger, Challenger, Chrysler 300 Fans

The streets of Orange County, California rumbled with the throb of tuned Hemi exhausts as fans of the Chrysler Group’s full-size lineup gathered from across the country and Canada to show their love for the Charger, Challenger, 300 and Magnum.

Starting out as a small show of a little over 100 cars six years ago, the show brought out more than 800 vehicles from across the U.S., Canada, and even some attendees (though not vehicles) from as far away as Europe. Participants were treated to a complimentary barbecue lunch, a speech by Dodge brand CEO, and Chrysler Group senior vice president of Design Ralph Gilles, who thanked the enthusiast crowd for their undying support through some of the company’s darkest days, noting their passionate commitment and motto of “Mopar or No Car.”

John Fortuno, organizer of the event, showcased his Fat Chance 2.0, a customized 2011 Chrysler 300 with a custom airbag-type suspension. There were also seminars hosted by Chrysler Group representatives for Dodge owners, Chrysler owners, and for Mopar Accessories, to get first-hand feedback from owners about likes, dislikes, and input for future products.

There were test-drive opportunities for the 2011 models, as well as a drifting demonstration by Sam Hubinette in a specially-prepared Challenger and Viper. The Viper experienced some technical difficulties, but still managed to put on an entertaining smoke show before it was put out of commission. Enjoy the photos and video below.
