The Camaro Z/28-inspired Silverado Cheyenne, along with the massive Silverado Volunteer Firefighter and Black Ops concepts aren’t the only tricked-out 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickups on display at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Chevy’s unveiled a number of other Silverado concepts for the trade show, along with a few customized examples of its new 2015 Tahoe and Suburban full-size sport utilities.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado Brad Paisley Signature Concept
Ford may have a lock on Toby Keith, but it appears Chevy has a country music superstar in its own camp: Braid Paisley. Chevy worked with the musician to build his vision of a perfected 2014 Silverado. Paisley, we’re told, is a big bow-tie fan, and wanted to take the visual attitude of the 2014 Corvette and 2014 Camaro and transfer that to a Silverado. As such, his concept receives body-colored bumpers and grille surround. 22-inch wheels are cribbed from Chevy’s parts catalog, but the truck’s ride height has been dropped by two inches — seemingly in contrast to the Z71 package’s off-road chops. Paisley’s 2014 Silverado also gains the same louvered hood as the new 2014 Silverado Cheyenne concept, along with a unique paint job that incorporates his initials into Chevy’s traditional hockey-stick stripe graphic. Despite the sporty look, there’s no mention of Paisley’s Chevy boasting any performance-enhancement hardware other than a Borla exhaust system.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado Tony Stewart Concept
Jeff Gordon may get to put his name on a one-off 2014 Chevrolet SS for the 2013 SEMA show, but driver Tony Stewart — who also races a Chevrolet SS in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series — helped trick out a new 2014 Silverado for SEMA. The crew-cab Z71 model wears unique Dark Tarnished Silver paint, which is accented with charcoal-and-red “smoke” graphics in keeping with Stewart’s nickname. The truck also wears 22-inch accessory wheels custom finished in black and red, tinted head- and taillamp lenses, and Stewart’s signature embroidered into the headrests.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Black Concept
Murdered-out sport utilities may have run their course, but the new 2015 Tahoe Black concept is rather handsome, much like the limited-production 2000 Tahoe Limited model. Much like that truck, the 2015 Tahoe Black concept has a lowered stance, a unique body kit, blacked-out exterior trim, and deeply tinted windows. Headlamp and taillamp lenses are deeply tinted, while the 22-inch wheels, pulled from Chevrolet’s accessories catalog, are the only parts not painted black. Chevrolet says it’ll be gauging reaction to this concept, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it somehow winds up becoming a limited-edition package for the new Tahoe.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Concept
Yes, Chevy’s calling this particular 2015 Tahoe a concept, but make no mistake — something virtually identical will soon wind up in a speedtrap near you. The 2015 Tahoe Police Concept is an early look at the forthcoming 2015 Tahoe 9C1 Police Package, which will bundle the stock 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 with 17-inch steel wheels, and a unique suspension tuning. Unless Chevrolet wants to break new ground, expect the light bars, grille guards, spot lights, and other police-grade accessories to remain aftermarket accessories.
2015 Chevrolet Suburban Half-Pipe Concept
Chevy sees the 2015 Suburban as the ideal ski-schlepper vehicle, and decided to dress up this particular truck to showcase how it can “haul adventurers and all their gear to the slopes.” In addition to faux resort graphics and requisite 22-inch wheels, the Half-Pipe concept shows off roof rack and ski/snowboard carrier hardware that will ultimately be offered to consumers through Chevy’s accessory catalog.
2014 Silverado HD Dually Tow Vehicle Concept
Chevy’s keen to show off its new heavy-duty pickup offering in Vegas, and has dressed a new 2014 Silverado 3500 dually to match a 2014 Camaro COPO on display. As such, this rig doesn’t exactly boast any new performance hardware, but wears customized ice blue exterior paint, COPO hockey stick stripes on both the bed and hood, chrome steps, and unique chrome wheels. This truck is at its most interesting when it’s actually set up to haul the aforementioned matching Camaro.
Wait, did we just mention the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro COPO? Indeed we did, but you’ll have to check back at noon for the full-scoop.
