As of now, Saab’s fate is uncertain but will ultimately be decided upon at GM’s board meeting next week. In an effort to convince GM officials to save the brand, a Saab enthusiast at Saab History is organizing a convoy to GM’s Renaissance Center headquarters in Detroit.
Saab History invites any Saab enthusiast in North America to join the convoy to the Renaissance Center on January 5, the day of GM’s next board meeting. By gathering as many Saab enthusiasts as possible outside GM’s headquarters, Saab History hopes it will convince GM to save the brand by selling it to Spyker.
European Saab clubs are also making a pilgrimage to the company’s (real) headquarters in Tröllhatten, Sweden in an attempt to save the brand, which is where the Saab History member got the idea. Saab enthusiasts are so adamant about saving the brand that they are now taking drastic measures to show their Saab pride.
