Recalled: GM to Fix 190,000-Plus Midsize Trucks with Missing LATCH Point

General Motors is ready to recall more than 190,000 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Isuzu i-Series midsize pickup trucks due to a missing LATCH point critical to securing a child seat.

2004-2011 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, 2007-2008 Isuzu i280, i370

The Problem: Federal law mandates passenger seating positions to have accessible LATCH points to securely fasten a child seat. The 2004-2011 Colorado, Canyon, and certain 2007-2008 Isuzu i-Series pickup trucks with bench front seats don’t have an accessible top LATCH tether point on the bench’s center seat.

The Fix: Dealers will make the center seat’s top LATCH anchor point accessible, although GM recommends all child seats to be installed in the right passenger seat if necessary.

Number of vehicles potentially affected: 192,676
