Recall Central: 2012-2013 GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Silverado HD, 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover

2012-2013 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado

The Problem: In 2012-2013 GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Silverado HD models equipped with the 6.6-liter diesel engine and dual fuel tanks, the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank may malfunction due to a manufacturing defect. Consequences of the malfunction could include an illuminated check-engine light, reduced engine power, and an inaccurate fuel gauge reading which could cause the vehicle to stall or not start.

The Fix: GM plans to notify owners, and dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the faulty transfer pump, free of charge.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 9,733 2012-2013 GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks, 7,840 of which are in the U.S.

2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover

The Problem: Due to insufficient packaging clearance, the connectors linking the driver and front-passenger side airbags to the vehicle’s SRS system may become disconnected. As a result, one or both of the side airbags may not function when in the event of a crash necessitating deployment.

The Fix: Land Rover will alert owners, and dealers will inspect and modify the area in question to prevent the airbags from disconnecting.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 3,912 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles.
