Recall Central: 2006-2010 Infiniti M35, M45

Infiniti M models are part of a global Nissan recall due to an accelerator sensor defect.

The Problem: A defect in the car’s accelerator sensor can cause the vehicle to go into a fail-safe mode when the pedal is pushed to the right while depressed. This could cause the engine to stall in some cases like when idling or coming to a stop.

The Fix: Infiniti will be notifying owners starting in November. Dealers will replace the accelerator pedal and reprogram the engine control module for free.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: In the U.S., vehicles potentially affected include 98,300 Infiniti M models, including M35 and M45 models. Nissan is also recalling 908,900 vehicles globally for this issue, 764,800 of which are in Japan, including the Nissan Serena, X-Trail, Lafesta, and Fuga models.
