Cadillac previously announced that it was working on a livery version of its new 2013 XTS sedan. We now have the full details on the brand’s black cab, as well as a glimpse into the limousine and hearse variants that will follow in its footsteps.
Cadillac will offer five different XTS variants for fleet buyers: the standard XTS Livery Sedan Package, the XTS Stretch Livery Sedan, the XTS Limousine, the XTS Funeral Coach hearse, and the XTS Armored. So far, only the base Livery Sedan has been revealed in full detail. We have yet to find out just how stretched the long-wheelbase cars are or what precautionary methods are employed with the armored model. Since the Livery Sedan Package is based on the consumer XTS, we know that it’ll be 202.0 inches long, and have room for three in the backseat.
The 2013 Cadillac XTS livery models are available for front-wheel drive XTS models. The new professional model carries over the same 304-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission from the consumer model, and maintains the same 17/28 mpg city/highway rating. The XTS livery models are ready for work duty thanks to additional 3-year/150,000-mile professional vehicle warranty (6-year/100,000-mile for the hearse), heavy-duty brakes, and optional tri-zone climate control. 19-inch aluminum wheels with P245/45R19 all-season tires are standard on the basic livery sedan; all other models come with polished 18-inchers wrapped in P235/55R18XL 104H all-season tires.
Cadillac’s Professional Fleet will now be fleshed out thanks to the XTS – the brand also offers a chauffeur version of the Escalade, Escalade Hybrid, and Escalade ESV SUVs.
