The Ram Truck brand will now offer a spray-on bedliner option for all 2010 model year Rams from 1500 to 3500.
The new spray-on bedliner joins Ram Truck’s preexisting drop-in option but is expected to be the more popular selection. All Ram Truck trim levels, cab sizes, and bed lengths can be accommodated.
“More than 90 percent of all truck owners want pickup bed protection, and spray-on bedliners are sometimes preferred over drop-in bedliners,” said Joe Veltri, Chrysler’s vice president of product planning. “Now Ram Truck offers both.”
What separates the new spray-on option from the Line-X and Rhino Linings of the world? Aside from factory installation, all new bedliners come with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. The spray-on version offers a 10-pound weight savings over the drop-in and both help reduce bed noise, vibration, and harshness and improves durability and traction. The standard application thickness is 3 millimeters on horizontal surfaces (including the tailgate) and 2 millimeters on vertical surfaces.
The spray-on bedliner option carries an MSRP of $450.
