a href="http://www.automobilemag.com/bentley/">Bentley recently revealed its restyled 2011 Continental GT and will publicly unveil the car at the Paris Motor Show tomorrow. Ahead of the car’s debut, Bentley has announced that its latest luxury coupe will start at $189,900, excluding delivery fees.
That price is roughly $7000 higher than the outgoing Continental GT’s, but for that price, you get a restyled exterior and interior that are evolutions of the current model’s, but with stronger exterior lines.
In addition to the new styling, the car receives an updated powertrain: a revised version of the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W-12 that pumps out 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque — increases of 15 horsepower and 37 pound-feet, respectively. The engine puts the power to the ground through a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The big news for the new Bentley coupe is the addition of an all-new 4.0-liter V-8 being developed with Audi. We’ll learn more about the V-8 at the Geneva Motor Show next year, which Bentley insists will be sold alongside the W-12, not below it. If this is true, expect the V-8 to also start at just under $190,000.
