Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines final as “the end; the last in a series, process of progress,” but it seems the folks at Pagani Automobili have a different take on the word. Although it was widely believed the Zonda Tricolore would be the last Zonda built before the company launches its new C9 model, it seems the company is building one additional special-edition car, dubbed the Zonda HH.
According to TeamSpeed.net, an American client commissioned the Zonda HH, and although its design appears to be finalized, the car has not yet been built. For the most part, the wild blue roadster appears to be a mixture of the firm’s Zonda F and Zonda Cinque models, although it lacks the wild cobra style air intake typically found on Cinque cars. The custom wheels are patterned after those used on F1 cars, and feature split spokes, polished lips, and one-lug mounting.
Underhood, the HH largely mirrors the Zonda Cinque, as the Mercedes-Benz AMG-sourced 7.2-liter V-12 cranks out the same 678 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. Unlike the Cinque, the Zonda HH bolts a six-speed manual gearbox to the engine, and also throws in the titanium exhaust system found on the Zonda R. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the HH throw down its power like the Cinque does, allowing it to sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph.
Although an exact figure has yet to be revealed, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Zonda HH cost its buyer a little more than the $2 million price tags affixed to the Zonda R and the Zonda Tricolore. We hear the owner doesn’t plan on this beauty becoming a shop queen, but since Zonda isn’t street legal in this country, he may have to garage and enjoy it abroad.
