One year after Scion rolled out a limited-edition xB at the L.A. Auto Show, take note: the brand is rolling out its latest special-edition model — the 2011 xB Release Series 8.0 — today at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
As is usually the case with Scion’s special-edition Release Series models, the 2011 xB 8.0 receives a special paint color, which the company dubs Voodoo Blue. A four-piece body kit designed by Kenstyle adds some additional cosmetic flair, while a power sunroof — not available on standard xBs — lets additional light in the cabin.
Inside, Release Series xB 8.0 models receive special floor mats, which sport the same logo and embroidered with blue accents. The blue-on-black theme continues with special fabric door panel inserts with blue trim, and blue accents woven into the seat fabric.
Pricing for the xB 8.0 starts at $19,125 for the manual transmission model and $20,075 with an automatic transmission. A color-matched rear spoiler is available, but will run buyers an extra $320, not including the cost of installation.
Per Release Series tradition, Scion is limiting production of the 8.0 to 2000 examples. We’d act quickly if you truly want this specialty box, but if you’d rather see the xB 8.0 growl like an animal or levitate, click over to Scion’s YouTube page.
Pricing includes destination charges.
